Original very rare working vintage Saxon sewing machine made in occupied Japan in the 1940's

$187.50 $250.00

This is a very rare sewing machine made in the 1940's in occupied Japan. When tried it did run and turns nice but no further testing was done. This machine does a simple straight stitch. In the 1940's this was all you needed to sew a dress. It has very pretty original gold decals and silver plates on the end of the head. Comes with the cord and pedal. A light is also attached to the machine. Still has the original paint makers plate and decals. The base is made from cast iron and this is a heavy machine. I do think there may have been a box on the bottom but it has long ago disappeared. This would be great for a collector or someone that simply loves time tested machines. Based on the age of this I am thinking it has metal parts in it instead of the plastics of today. Compatible to the old Singers out there. As with all vintage items, this has been used and will sell in AS IS condition. No other warrenties are given.
